Product Description
Provide your deer and turkeys with some succulent and nutritous food for the fall and winter months. This is highly attractive to deer and other wildlife in the early fall when native vegetation and crops are drying up. Once Planted it is hunt ready in about 2-3 weeks. Plant in early fall from mid August to early September.
Drill or Broadcast at 50lbs per acre at .5-1" deep. Prepare the seedbed well before planting and spraying existing vegetation with Glyphosate and properly tilling.
If you let it go in the spring the wheat will provide excellent cover for turkey and upland game bird poults as well as fawns. It can help attract insects, while growing, for poults to consume until the wheat matures and provides a ton of seeds for turkeys and upland birds to eat until it is time to prepare the plot for the next seeding.
For optimum results take a soil sample and fertilize according to results. Also use the DeerGro PlotStart or PlotBoost in conjunction with fertilzer to provide the best growing condition for the plants, while also allowing the plants to meet their maximum potential. This will ensure they have the most nutrients possible stored up in them. This means those nutrients go toward antler growth, fawn production, poult production and overall heard and flock health.
