Product Description
This food source not only provides food and great nutrition on a daily basis but also great cover for deer, turkeys and upland game birds through fall and winter months. This seed could also be used for waterfowl plots that are to be flooded or use it dry with layout blinds. It grows 3.5'-4' tall and has a maturity date of 80-95 days. Prepare the seed bed by using a glpyphosate and preemergent such as Dual with treated seed.
Plant in late spring with a rate of 8lbs per acre drilled or 15lbs per acre broadcasted at .5"-1" deep. Once growing control weeds with most common broadleaf herbicides.
For optimum results take a soil sample and fertilize according to results. Also use the DeerGro PlotStart or PlotBoost in conjunction with fertilzer to provide the best growing condition for the plants, while also allowing the plants to meet their maximum potential. This will ensure they have the most nutrients possible stored up in them. This means those nutrients go toward antler growth, fawn production, poult production and overall heard and flock health.
