Product Description
Containing both annual and perennial species, that range from 1'-2' in height, this mix provides deer and turkeys with good nutrition during spring and early summer months and again in the fall months. Enhancing antler growth, body size and fawn production as well as poult production. Works well for micro plots to hunt over during the rut.
Before Planting spray plot with a glyphosate to kill existing vegetation. Plant in early spring or early fall by drilling or broadcasting 10lbs per acre at 1/3" deep. Works great to frost seed this mix in late winter.
You may need to mow a few times over the summer to regenerate clovers, keeping them tender and nutritous while also keeping weed competition to a minimum.
For optimum results take a soil sample and fertilize according to results. Also use the DeerGro PlotStart or PlotBoost in conjunction with fertilzer to provide the best growing condition for the plants, while also allowing the plants to meet their maximum potential. This will ensure they have the most nutrients possible stored up in them. This means those nutrients go toward antler growth, fawn production, poult production and overall heard and flock health.
